What is the Procedure for a Crown?
Initially, we will numb the tooth before carefully preparing it for crowning. All damaged, decayed and infected portions are removed, and the tooth is shaped, ensuring your new crown will not feel too bulky but instead looks and feels natural and comfortable. We take a detailed dental impression of your prepared tooth and choose the shade of porcelain for your crown, ensuring it will blend in beautifully with your existing teeth. Our experienced dental technicians use this information to fabricate your crown, creating a precision-made restoration that fits perfectly over your natural tooth. While your crown is made, your tooth is protected with a temporary crown. We will cement your new crown onto your tooth during your next visit.
